I started my career as a civil engineer, even earning a Chartered Civil Engineer license early on. However, during my university days I discovered a passion for technology and innovation that set me on a unique path. I led a student team in building custom UAVs (drones) for international competitions – we even took our micro drone to a global aero-design contest in Texas. This experience showed me how automation and aerial vehicles could revolutionize traditional civil engineering tasks, from surveying to infrastructure inspection. It wasn’t long before I realized I enjoyed solving problems with tech more than drawing blueprints.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to leverage this unique background. Whether as a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst, I aim to be the person who connects the dots across departments and finds innovative solutions.
Right after graduation, I pivoted into tech entrepreneurship. I co-founded BohrInvento LLP in 2017, a startup where I cut my teeth developing digital solutions for clients. In this role I wore many hats – gathering business requirements, managing Agile sprints, and translating client needs into software. We delivered custom web applications that streamlined operations for businesses, which taught me how to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders. This cross-functional experience was invaluable and set the stage for my next venture.

In 2018, I launched Flotanomers R&D Pvt. Ltd., bringing together my civil engineering background and love for drone technology. As Founder and Technical Lead, I spearheaded projects using drones for infrastructure and public safety. We built and deployed custom UAVs for government agencies, providing automated solutions for GIS mapping and structural inspections. Under my leadership, we scaled the startup to six-figure annual revenues, proving the market value of drone services in civil applications. One of my proudest achievements was training over 150 law enforcement officers in drone-based surveillance – seeing seasoned officers learn cutting-edge tech from my team underscored the impact of leadership and knowledge-sharing. Running Flotanomers honed my strategic thinking (balancing innovation with business viability) and taught me how to collaborate across disciplines, from engineers to government officials.
After spending years building solutions on the ground in India, I decided to broaden my horizons and deepen my expertise in data and analytics – the forces driving modern business decisions. I moved to the United States and pursued a Master’s in Business Analytics at Iowa State University Stepping away from my CEO role to become a student again was humbling, but it proved my adaptability and commitment to growth. In my first year, I juggled classes and campus jobs, applying the same hustle I had as a founder. This transition reinforced a personal lesson: you don’t have to give up on your dreams when life changes direction; the goals remain, but the path can evolve
Throughout my master’s program, I seized opportunities to blend my industry experience with new analytic skills. I worked as a Data Analyst in a precision agriculture project, collaborating with agronomists to turn raw field data into actionable insights for crop management. I then joined a cutting-edge AI research center as a Business Analyst, where I helped design an AI-driven drone traffic monitoring system – reducing manual analysis work by 70%. I also built dashboards and streamlined processes for the AI team, improving project throughput and transparency. Most recently, I’ve been working with an entrepreneurship center to analyze market data for local startups. In that role I conducted stakeholder research and delivered insights that influenced county-level economic initiatives, contributing to plans for 150+ new jobs and $2.5M in regional revenue. These experiences in academia and consulting sharpened my skills in data visualization and business intelligence, while letting me continue to exercise leadership and cross-functional collaboration in a new context.
Today, as I step into interviews for roles in tech companies, consulting firms, or innovative startups, I present myself as a business-savvy analyst with 7+ years of experience blending engineering, entrepreneurship, and data analytics to drive strategic outcomes My journey – from building drones in civil engineering to founding tech startups, and now mastering business analytics – has been all about relearning and unlearning, and proving my ability to adapt, grow, and embrace change I’ve led teams through ambiguity, bridged the communication gap between technical and business teams, and stayed focused on the bigger strategic picture even while digging into details.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to leverage this unique background. Whether as a Business Analyst, BI Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Data Analyst, I aim to be the person who connects the dots across departments and finds innovative solutions. I thrive on turning complex data into clear strategies and guiding cross-functional teams toward success. Ultimately, the thread uniting my story is a passion for solving real-world problems with technology and a commitment to continuous growth – a combination I believe will let me drive positive change wherever I go.
